Wild Flowers Honey
It is the most common honey in the world and in our country as well.

Forest honey is essentially a honeydew from the trees and shrubs of the Portuguese Forests.

It has many minerals and amino acids, along with top antibiotic properties.

Sunflower Honey
Sunflowers are the summer landscape in the Alentejo fields, where beekeepers take their bees to pollinate and collect the nectar of this flowers.
With a yellow color, it is commonly compared to the color of egg yolks.
It has a very creamy sweet taste, crystallizing quickly is much used for spreading on bread.
It is highly rich in vitamins and minerals.
Orange Blossom Honey
This honey is obtained from the nectar of the orange tree flowers of Algarve.
It has a light color and, by opening the jar, we can sense the aroma of the orange trees of this region.
With its very distinctive taste of citrus, it is thicker and quite sweet.
Therapeutically, it helps normalizing intestinal problems and the nervous system.

Strawberry Tree Honey
Typical on the mountains of Alentejo and Algarve, it is a very specific honey due to its bitter taste, reminiscent of coffee. At the first taste it may appear sweet but it quickly reveals its complexity and bitterness, leaving a distinctive aftertaste.
With a fast crystallization, it has a dark brown co lour.
In therapy, it is used to cleanse the urinary tract and it is acknowledged as an anti-asthmatic.
Due to be harvest in the Winter, it’s a very rare and of difficult harvest honey.
Mountain Honey
This honey is harvested from the nectar of the flowering plants and shrubs which grow more than 600 meters high in the mountains of our country.
It can show various colors and flavors depending on the region where it is harvested, although it usually presents intense and strong flavors.
It is excellent for the respiratory track.
Wild Lavender Honey
The Wild Lavender plants grows wild throughout the interior of Portugal, making it the most peculiar honey of our country.
Its color reminds us of gold and it has a very floral aroma which is a characteristic of the Lavender plants. When we taste it we perceive it as being, probably, the world's sweetest honey!
It is widely used in cooking, in sweet and sour sauces, and added to fresh cheeses, natural yogurt or dried fruit, it originates pleasant and amazing desserts.
In traditional medicine it is used as an anticoagulant and an antispasmodic.
Thyme Honey
It is harvested in several areas of our coastline.
Thyme is a plant with a large percentage of thymol, which provides a very intense and aromatic sense, with a taste of menthol and mint.
It may present an assortment of brown shades, depending on the collecting area.
Due to its elevate content of thymol, this honey is quite therapeutic regarding its recognized antiseptic properties.
It’s a rare honey in the world because Thyme it’s a very sensitive plant, not being possible to harvest it every years.
Heather Honey
There are several types of heathers in the mountains of our country. These shrubs bloom in the north, during spring/summer, and in the south, in autumn/winter, making it possible to harvest this honey throughout these two periods.
It has a dark reddish color, getting brownish when crystallized.
It is a very aromatic honey, popping out flavors such as wood, spices and caramel.
With a sweet and strong taste, with notes of caramel, it can be slightly bitter bringing to mind coffee.
This honey is therapeutically beneficial to treat infections of the urinary tract and of the prostate gland.
