The first crystallization of sugar cane produces raw brown sugar that is coarser than white sugar. Unrefined brown sugar that is acquired from sugar cane is usually fully refined and makes up approximately 70% white sugar yield. Natural brown sugar has a high mineral content due to the molasses that it contains. This product has an ICUMSA rating of 800 – 1200 VHP which means that in its current form, it is NOT suitable FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION. The product is suitable and ready for further refining to remove the presence of any bacteria, contaminants and impurities that may still exist within it.
