Sunflower is a high, annual, powerful, plant. Taproot plants goes deep into the soil at 2-4 meters. From taproot, lateral roots extend by 1 meter apart. Sunflower stalks thick and strong, it does not branch, and has a soft core. One sunflower is occurred of 15-35 leaves, rough and pointed at the top. At the top of the stem it has a large basket of inflorescence, which is surrounded by the bottom wrap of green leaves. Outside baskets are barren golden flowers.
